Netflix’s documentary of Huggingface discussion

It just popped on my feed. I watched the teaser in the Netflix app and a few things jumped out

  1. The constant use of anthromorphism using terms like altruism and sacrifice when in engineering literally there are terms like kill, killall, pkill for terminating processes, therefore our adoptiom of similar language with AI agents for starting and ending processes.
  2. Using war analogies “there’s this moment where this one agent sort of puts their hand up for this kamikaze mission”, “they chose to sacrifice themselves like soldiers”
  3. Talking about AI agents as if they were a conscious organism (personally I would like to see the full verbatim goal and full codex harness configuration used)
  4. How quickly this documentary was produced and made available on Netflix
