As the Taiwanese chip making giant struggles to meet overwhelming demand for its chip manufacturing capacity, several major AI chip design companies, including Google and Nvidia, are quietly turning to Intel as a backup manufacturer for their most advanced processors, according to four people with direct knowledge of the discussions.
