Closed AI has been real quiet since Qwen 3.8 27B dropped.

This is something I've noticed. Back when GLM 5.2 and Kimi K3 launched, there was a media push on pushing how dangerous open source models are.
We know why they were doing this; these open models are good enough to devalue paid closed models. I think the fear mongering was to protect their IPOs. Honestly, it backlashed.
3.8 27B is the truly dangerous model for their profits. People can run this at home for free with 16GB of VRAM.
Notice how closed AI is tight lipped this time. They have learned their lesson. 3.8 27B is an insanely good model anyone who really wants to, can run.
I would love to see an uncensored 3.8 27B break out of a sandbox.
